Replacing your Metallic Series rower’s foot strap assembly is a simple task to perform.
The process is identical for any Metallic Series rower. Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Remove the old foot strap from one of the “ladderlock” buckle by feeding it out as shown.
Step 2
Using the 5mm ratchet included with your rower (or a 5mm Allen key) and a 13mm wrench, remove the foot strap assembly’s clamp by removing both bolts, washers, and nuts.
You will need to the 13mm wrench to hold the nuts on the back of the footboard while unscrewing bolts on the front of the footboard as shown.
Step 3
Install the new foot strap assembly using the provided hardware.
The orientation of the clamp bar does not matter.
Use the same approach as in Step 2 — hold the nuts in place with the 13mm wrench while screwing the bolts in with the 5mm ratchet .
Step 4
Loop the foot strap around the back of the footboard and through the slots on both sides of the footboard.
Install the foot strap in both ladderlock buckles. Adjust the foot strap to so that the length of the strap is even on both sides.
