Metallic Series – Footboard: How to replace the footboard

Replacement of your Metallic Series rower’s footboard assembly is a straightforward task. The process is identical for any Metallic Series rower.

Step 1

Remove the handle from the handle rests and place the handle in the full forward position as shown.

Step 2

Using the 5mm ratchet included with your rower, remove the handle rests and their bolts. Set them aside.

Step 3

Rotate the footboard away from the tank (toward the rear of of the rower) to access the bottom bolts securing the footboard to the rails.

Step 4

Using the 5mm ratchet, remove the bottom bolts securing the footboard to the rails as shown.

Step 5

Remove the the old footboard.

Step 6

Begin installing the new footboard by lowering it into place, taking care to align the bottom bolt holes with the corresponding holes in the rail.

Step 7

Using the 5mm ratchet, reinstall the bottom bolts securing the footboard to the rails as shown.

Step 8

Rotate the footboard forward towards the tank and align the handle rest holes with the nuts embedded in the black angled brackets of the tank assembly.

Step 9

Using the 5mm ratchet, reinstall the handle rests and their bolts.

Do not overtighten these bolts as damage to the black angled brackets may occur.

Note: Do NOT use a drill or impact driver when when installing these bolts.
