Original Series – Seat: How to replace the guide wheels

Replacing the seat guide wheels on your Original Series rower is a straightforward task to perform.

The process and video below are applicable to all Original Series rower models.

Step 1

Using the 5mm Allen Key located in the bungee pod (on the rear spacer at the back of the rower), loosen 2 of the JCNs on the same side of the rear spacer to loosen its connection to one of the rails. Do not entirely remove the rear spacer.

Step 2

Remove the seat from the rower and flip it over to access the guide wheels.

Step 3

Using a ratchet with a 13mm socket, remove the bolt in the center of each guide wheel to loosen and remove the wheels.

Step 4

Attach the new guide wheels by assembling the bolt, wheel, washer, and cone-shaped spacer in the order shown. Use Loctite on the threads of the bolt to ensure the bolt does not become loose after installing during use.

Use the ratchet and 13mm socket to snugly tighten the bolts. Do NOT overtighten.
